Firstly, the dissertation analyses the development of Management Information System such as MRP,MRPII,ERP,MES etc. The author points that Workshop management information system is the difficulty and the weak link. It must be combined with the actual production condition to develop.Based on the actual demand analysis from Tang Gang Mechanism Company, the dissertation puts forward a whole frame of the manufacturing shop management information system based on Web, establishes the system's functional model. The system extends the connotation of traditional shop production management. It can manage all sorts of shop's data, including shop planning and scheduling, production monitor and control, human resource management, quality control, engineering drawing management, material management, equipments and auxiliary tools management, shop data gathering and system maintenance etc.Based on Web frame and distributing B/S structure, the system is developed by ASP(Active Sever Pages), database technology, module design method and Web page creation tool. Through establishing the legal usage right, everybody can takes part in the system, which makes the system advanced, flexible, opening and dependable.In order to fit in with needs of the system, the dissertation designs a coding system for machining workshop, which is proved feasible and effective by practice.Based on the whole frame of the system, the author develops the engineering drawing management module and human resource module, and has realized part functions of the system. The test run shows that the overall frame and the two modules design are right and practicable, which provides an important supports to the further development of the system.
