Design And Implementation Of VPWS System

MPLS VPN is one kind of IP VPN ,which makes use of MPLS(MultiProtocol Lable Switch) technology on routers and switches. MPLS technology makes use of traditional routing protocols and simplifies the routing modes of the core routers.The Lay 2 MPLS VPN has three schemes , which are VPWS(Virtual Private Wire Service) ,VPLS(Virtual Private LAN Service) and IPLS(IP-only LAN-like Service). VPWS based on MPLS network provides point-to-point connectivity between customer sites.This thesis designs and implements the VPWS system based on MPLS.Firstly, this thesis provides the principles of MPLS technology and two kinds of schemes of MPLS VPN. It analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the two kinds of schemes.Secondly, this thesis analyses and describes the requirements and implementation of VPWS system on the aspects of configuration, control and data transmission in detail.Finally, this thesis provides the scheme of performance test of the VPWS system. It tests on the aspects of configuration of the VPWS system , the setting up of PW ,and the packet forwarding.The results of the test show that this VPWS system can implement the establishment of PW and point-to-point data transparent transmission between customer sites.
