| The wide use of instant messenger is drawing more and more attention on its security problem. It is of undeniable importance to design an instant messenger monitoring system which can meet our special requirement. The main points of this paper are as follow:1. Introduce the basic technology of instant messenger monitoring. Mainly focus on the protocol analysis methods, windows NDIS intermediate layer driver technology and the system design of instant messenger monitoring software.2. Analyze the XMPP protocol and realize the monitoring of plain text messages in"Google Talk",a new instant messenger software which is based on the XMPP protocol.3. Analyze the plain text message protocol used in all versions of MSN, Yahoo! Messenger and ICQ, and realize the monitoring of newly released instant messenger software.4. Analyze and do research on the file transmission model and protocol used in MSN, Yahoo! Messenger and ICQ, realize the recovery of file name and content in instant messenger file transmission, and also discuss the packets creation method in file content recovery and file name decoding method.Based on deep analysis and research on all kinds of instant messenger protocols and combined with relevant technology, this paper realized the monitoring of plain text and file transmission in instant messengers. |
