The Implemention Of J2EE Middleware Integrates Network Monitoring System

Network monitoring is one of key technologies in network area. The most used network monitoring systems take the way of centralized model. This model has exposed its limitations in scalability, flexibility, reliability with the increasing of scale of the network and complexity of network structure. Layered network monitoring system provides a better solution for these problems. To construct the structure of network monitoring system by using the middleware as the intermediate layer, it can improve the scalability and expansibility of the system, improve the quality of the software and the efficiency of the development, and it can also reduce the cost of development and maintenance. This thesis covers one of the main interests in network monitoring research works: the system architecture and the communication within its components.The characteristics and advantages of middleware has been analyzed and studied in the thesis, on the basis of J2EE system structure and remote monitoring, an integrated network monitoring system which can cross platforms and systems occurs. In the system, the integrated chief monitoring center monitors all distributed sub-monitor nodes, these sub-monitor nodes can monitor all equipments in subnet as they work in parallel at the same time. First the thesis analysed the feasibility of the design, and also demonstrates superiority of the design through modeling. Then the system was completed, it contains information collecting, alarming, transaction processing, information storage and so on. And working principle of integrated monitoring service module has been analyzed. The total frame has been designed, and the function of each sub-module has been completed. Also it put forward new strategies towards some technique involved in the system which the thesis refers to, for instance, optimizing of the information storage, real-time dynamic renewing of the interface and the amendatory means of polling. Finally, the thesis summarizes the whole research work, and discusses the limitations of the new system, and the direction for further research work..
