| Structured P2P network infrastructures are not suitable for the most popular P2P file sharing systems for that they do not support keyword searching, while the well used unstructured infrastructures have the disadvantages like unscalability, heavy network burden. In this paper, we propose a 2-level hybrid searching infrastructure which takes advantage of both structured and unstructured network characteristics. First locate the cluster to which the target belongs in structured index-level network, and then use flooding to search unstructured search-level network. Thus kept both fast location and keyword searching ability of two different network infrastructures. We have also done a wide range of experiments using our simulator to compare the proposed infrastructure with those conventional ones and have reached such conclusions. The proposed infrastructure achieved more hits in most cases while generating only a few searching messages compared to the pure unstructured infrastructure; and need less maintenance cost compared to the pure structured infrastructure. |
