Research On The Virtual Reality Technology Of Digital Tour System

The Digital tour is a kind of application in which the digital earth serves for the tour industry. In the Digital tour system, all kinds of digitalized tour information are stored in computer and published to the web. The information needed by both of the tour company and tourist can be provided by the digital tour system, and the Demand- Supply Balance in tour industry can be realized, further more the digital tour system can provide the Sustainable Development for tour industry. Although the tour informatization has got a quick development in China, there are still some defeats in existing tour information system.Because in existing tour information system the panorama show of the tour scene are not provided and the structural interactive virtual scene is not implemented, the demand of the customer cannot be satisfied.The digital tour system is analyzed in this paper. The service, management and space information about tour is classified and the significance of the digitalization of the tour source is presented. Based on the analysis a new digital tour system is designed. To solve the problem in the existing system, the "virtual travel"is introduced into our system. With the virtual reality technology, the building of the virtual scene and virtual walk-through can be well realized in our system. In this paper, a high-precision improved image stitching algorithm is presented, it can quickly search the suitable pattern region in the image.The matching process in the algorithm can be divided into two steps: firstly do a rough match and then do a more precise matching with the result of the first step.With this method the algorithm can stitch the images faster and more exactly.Based on the virtual reality technology a technology solution that can well realize the virtual travel is provided in this paper. The virtual scene, virtual walk-through and interactive can be implemented with the solution. Therefore the shortcoming of the existing digital travel system can be well overcome.
