Putting much emphasis on self-health, people pay more attention to their daily health situation, hoping to discover the changes of the health that caused by diseases. Then they can do some thing to treat the disease earlier. Base on this aim, more and more researches focus on the human health monitoring. Consider of this situation, after analyzing the domestic development in related fields at present and its application in future market, we puts forward a kind of embedded human health monitoring system based on GSM/GPRS.The whole system is made up of the units for sampling signal, the unit for controlling and the unit for displaying and transmitting. We choose the ECG(electrocardiogram) signal as the typical signal and design the ECG signal sampling circuit based on analyse about the ECG signal. This circuit performed well on the ECG signal sampling and can also reduce the influence of the noise signal.We chooses the ARM-based microprocessor S3C44B0X as the controlling unit which manufactured by the company of Samsung. This microprocessor is a high performance and low power consumption 32-bit high speed CPU based on ARM7TDMI core and RISC(Reduced Instruction Set Computing). For using the 0.25umCMOS standard cells, the microprocessor worked well at the field that need low power consumpution and cost.This system have a good human-machine interface to users by translating the embedded system uClinux and graph interface MiniGUI. More over, this system uses the GSM/GPRS wireless network to transmit ECG data and real-time data. This paper first introduces the purpose and meaning of monitoring human health, followed by the ECG signal's sampling, the transplant of the embedded system uClinux and the graph-user-interface MiniGUI. Finally, we give the details of the wireless data transmission based on GSM/GPRS network.
