| The rapid development of modern information technology brings new opportunities and challenges for the modern education. The online education is become more and more important in Higher Education. How to take advantage of the online studying, design and development an online course which suitable for self-directed learning under the network environment, have become an important topic.Self-directed learning teaching model emphasizes the learner is the main part in cognitive process, which helps the students to explore and discover initiatively, active learning, and the creative talent cultivation. Under the self-directed learning teaching model, the learner must have a clear motivation to learn, sense of study consciously and the ability of self-control, independent thinking, and self-motivation. The characteristics of self-directed learning and the studying under the network environment are so similar: It told people should emphasize on the learning activities which based on the Web-technical background.In this paper, according to features of the current status of China's network courses, problems and self-direct learning network, systematically discussed about how to design and develop the self-direct learning online courses, under the relevant theory guidance, designed and developed a "VB Programming" network platform which support the self-direct learning online courses. The platform has already applied to the author's college and the brothers colleges teaching practice, the response from the students and teachers is the interface is clear, the navigation systems is convenient, excellent interactive and rich teaching resources, it is suitable for self-direct learning online. Compare the students who use the platform to study and the students who study under the traditional classroom model, after compare their academic and statistical analysis, the results told us that the students who study under the network platform are better than who study under the traditional teaching methods. |
