The Research And Implementation Of The Virtual Substation Training System Based On Distributed Virtual Reality

The virtual reality technique has become a new trend in application of the power industry profession training work. Based on the current situation of training simulation system of the domestic power industry, and the application of substation training, accounted three training requirements of the equipments study of substation equipment, the patrol and monitoring the working status of substation, this paper has developed a kind of training system based on the distributed virtual reality technique. The main function of this system includes the substation equipments study and virtual substation tour for single user, and the virtual substation collaborative tour for multiuser. Adopt the technique of VRML carried out the substation equipments study and virtual substation tour for single user, through Java 3D and the Java network API carried out a Client/ Server mode prototype system of distributed virtual reality that carried out the virtual transformer substation for multiuser collaborative tour.This system since can be apply in the training work of the actual substation, also can for further development the distributed imitated the true training application to provide the prototype and references.
