Assembly plays an important role in both products design and manufacture. A good assembly sequence and techniques planning will help a lot in improving products design, reducing production cost, shortening production cycle and etc. However, assembly is an all-around problem, requiring a lot of experts design knowledge in different domains to obtain a high quality assembly sequence. Meanwhile, products are more and more complex, and the number of product parts is increasing in index, which requires advancing assembly design efficiency by collaborative work. All above supply a strong power for the development of collaborative assembly.Our works introduced in this thesis are based on a collaborative assembly system for long-distance guidance, which is a sub-task of the project "Some Key Technologies and Representative Application Research on Virtual Prototype" (2002AA411310) sponsored by National 863 Hi-Tech Program. We also take machine press's long-distance assembly of Jinan 2nd Machine Tool Company as the research background and the author herself participated in this project's development. Now the project has been checked and accepted. But during the use of this collaborative system, conflicts happen between whiles. This thesis does some studies and realization on conflict problems by analyzing and experiments based on above collaborative system. The main works of this thesis are:(1) According to the requirements of long-distance guidance assembly from great instrument fabricate industry, we first introduce the functions of a collaborative assembly system for long-distance guidance, and then point out some conflict problems occurred in the system mentioned above, and further more, analyze the causation of these conflicts.(2) Aiming at users can't apperceive others' operations in real time because of lack of synchronization between clients in the collaborative assembly system for long-distance guidance , which causes conflicts occurred, we adjust the structure of the assembly system by putting forward a composite collaborative framework, and adopt a decomposed tasks and execution scheme to realize real-time and synchronous tasks execution. By improving the real-time sensing ability of the system, users can avoid part of conflicts consciously.(3 ) Aiming at those conflicts that can't avoid by users real-time sensing ability in the collaborative assembly system for long-distance guidance, we adopt common assembly sequence method and assembly restriction method to control conflicts, and use system lock and users un-lock method to realize collaborative design same parts. At last we estimate these methods according to system consistency model.
