Design And Realization Of Migrating Workflow Implementation Strategy

The Migrating Workflow is a new direction within the workflow management research. The workflow is completed by one or more Migrating Instances(MI) according to the complexity of the business process goal. Every MI implements a sub-process of the workflow. The MIs complete the general objective through migrating and cooperation with the support of Anchorages.Business process is described by the procedure definition file, which contains multi-activities, logical relationship between activities and data. The MI analyses precedence relationship and implementation places, migrates to multi-Anchorages based on the implementation strategy till completing the whole process. The real executor of the activities is the services supported by the Anchorage. The implementation strategy needs to get the result of completed tasks and analyze the procedure definition file to get the follow-on tasks, then chooses a suitable way to implement tasks according to the semantic logic, uses a reasonable migrating strategy to migrate at last. The implementation strategy is very important to the Migrating Workflow.This paper presents research on the implementation strategy based on the definition of tasks piece, according to the conceptual model and reference architecture of the Migrating Workflow, based on the theory of mobile agent and workflow interface definition by WFMC. A migrating supported frame is presented and constructed.This strategy considers the logical relationship and work places of activities, includes the migrating strategy of the mobile agent, emphasizes that the MI should decrease the times of migrating to avoid failure of migrating and internet attack. The execute in task was instead of task-piece which includes a piece of sequential tasks in this strategy. These tasks can be implemented in a same work place. The core of this strategy is the partition of tasks piece, then chooses a optimal tasks piece and the best migrating Anchorage. The strategy uses multi son MIs to implement parallel tasks pieces respectively. The goal of the strategy is improving efficiency and security of this system.The analysis of the execution results of the prototype shows that the migrating workflow system prototype realizes the designation objects correctively and effectively, proves the correctness of this strategy.
