| Currently, there are lots of old switching node in the switching network of CNC, they have a common characteristic that is only provide FTAM protocol interface for centralized data collection, normally it is a non-connected charging system using tape record equipment, one month one drum of tape record, the shortest charging interval is 15 days. With the development of telecommunication, the problems caused by these old switching equipment has affected the operation of fixed network; it bring some critical problem to the support system because it is a non-real time charging system and it is not the TT(toll ticketing) charging format. First, the old switching equipment can not provide detail charging information for local call, in consequence more and more complaint and dissension occurred between customer and operator about clarity of charging due to that operator can not provide the consumed information to customer in detail. Second, old system is a non-real time system, the time for collecting and processing data is too long which not only affected operator to make decision in time but also let the malice arrears happened easily. Third, it took large human resources to handle the charging by the end of each month, that means limited time, high tension work, further more the data is easily be lost or damaged during the collection and processing in a non-connected system because of the quality of the tape.Meanwhile, as a result of splitting and rebuilding among Chinese telecommunication operators, the end user customer have more choice than ever, so that it is an important competition weigh for operators to solve real time charging data collecting from different switching with different hardware and software version (for example Ericsson mainly use version L7&CN49) and provide accurate,legible charging service to customer in order to contest customer as well as keep big customer. The basic work to solve the problem mentioned above is how to carry out real time charging data collecting and processing. And what I want to solve in my paper is also how to achieve real time data collecting and processing based on FTAM protocol in fixed network.
