Research And Implementation Of Vendor Managed Inventory Optimal Model Based On Supply Chain

With the development of the modern management ideas and information technology, supply chain management has become a focus of manage theories and practice. Inventory management is an important part of the supply chain management, which is the key both to exert collaboration and to perform the integrated management. Therefore, further studies on the collaborative strategies have theoretical and realistic significance.Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), as a newly inventory management strategy, highly reflects the integrated SCM concept.This paper research VMI and its optimization based on SCM through the method of theory and practice combination, the major working of this paper includes:(1) Research a new VMI complement model which is based on customer's need changing with time. The model can tell us how to recruit the stock when the needs obey some random distribute (normal distribute). On the case of customer needs obey normal distribute, we analyze kinds of fees including suppliers sending goods to the VMI logistics center and multiple shop, then put forward to the VMI complement strategy model. With the optimal complement amount, it reduces the complement cost and guarantees that every customer's needs at each shop can be satisfied in the certain time, thus raising customer's service level.(2) Research a VMI transfer strategy model under the circumstance of supply chain management to resolve out of stock in each chain store. We analyze kinds of fees and profit in transfer process and give a model aim at acquired most benefits. By this model, we know transfer from where to where and transfer how much.
