Due to the reversion of priority and the uncertain time of transmission, CAN may be congestible when the density of the useful information becomes high, so the real-time performance will be depressed. An interaction between bit stuffing and the use of cyclic redundancy code (CRC) can depress the reliability of CAN.TTCAN based on CAN, using the time triggered communication, has no congestible, so it can improve the real-time performance of CAN. The redundant bus use more than one medium to guarantee the reliability of the system, so build redundant TTCAN net work can reduce the residual error probability and enhance the ability of communication. In the paper we discussed the run arithmetic of TTCAN, analysed the vulnerabilities of CAN and discuss the feasibility and measures of building redundant network.We designed a compatible TTCAN controller based on the framework of DSP and MCP2515 with higher reliability. It has two redundant CAN bus and can run all control of TTCAN's level 1. It is compatible with CAN. Using this controller, CAN network can upgrade to TTCAN network easily. |
