| With the expanding of computer networks and increase of its complexity, the request for network performance is increasing, too. To keep high performance of a network, the network manager must measure, analyze and manage the performance data from network equipments regularly. They also should be able to get warning information and deal with it in time. And they also should have the ability of forecasting the development of a network and configuring the equipment in it to make it running well by analyzing its different performance data in different period.But there are many defects in existing network measure and management tools, on their functions and on their structures. By introducing the Distributed Network Measurement and Analysis Infrastructure, DNMAI, an infrastructure with good extensibility, we solved these problems a bit effectively. At the same time, we appended the SNMP cooperation engine which could create the PDU neatly at background to DNMAI in conclusion, this system have the characters about operation by web, layered module, integrated managing protocol and intellectualized measurement.As an application example of DNMAI and SNMP, this paper presents a new method of automatic Internet topology discovery under DNMAI,which offers a dynamic configuration interface to users. Then, it describes the algorithm of how to collect and filtrate topology data and introduces the definition of the database structure. Finally, we discuss the program implementation procedure of internet topology graphics in detail and get the testing result by using a network test platform.At the end of this article, we introduce the technology of CORBA simply. Analyze and discuss how to apply CORBA technology to the DNMAI system and its superiorities. What's more, dissertate an implementation scheme of CORBA/SNMP gateway in detail.The completed work has verified the possibility of the inter-operation between CORBA and DNMAI system, and provide the foundation for the implementation of the integrated CORBA/SNMP gateway. |
