| In the modern information society, electronic document is the most commonly used media for information storage, spreading and utilization. However, the can-be-spread-easily feature of an ordinary electronic document always makes the information stored at the document vulnerable to being stolen. As a result, the protection of these electronic documents has become an important issue that must be considered by every enterprise. On the one hand, the enterprise hopes that these documents are easily accessible to the related staff. On the other hand, the enterprise is also worried about the secret leakage. So, the enterprise hopes the spread and use of the electronic documents can be efficiently controlled and the intellectual property can be protected accordingly. This dissertation makes a deep research on the information documents protection. The contributions of the author are listed as follows:1. We propose a new intellectual property protecting system model by fully considering the defects of the existing intellectual property protection products. The new model is constructed by combining the real-time encryption and decryption protection technology and the real-time monitoring technology. The new model is based on the principle of managing the electronic documents centrally. The underlying driver of this system uses the development in the kernel model. So the system requires no distinguishing the file format and changing the customs of the users, and hence the system can completely monitor and prevent the users'revealing some important data via portable disk drives, USB disk drives or floppy disks. In a word, the system provides a comprehensive information protection for the users.2. This dissertation elaborates on the design of the intellectual property protection system and details the implementations of the two components: the monitoring server and the client of the intellectual property protection system. |
