GPS(Global Position System)is the most advanced radio navigation system which was developed by the U.S. Department of Defence. The system can operate under all weather conditions, 24 hours a day, anywhere on earth, and can provide land, marine and airborne user with continuous,highly accurate, three-dimensional position, velocity, time data etc. Now GPS receivers, as a type of advanced equipment on navigation and positioning, have been used in many fields in almost every corner of the world.As GPS is a high-accuracy and global 3D real time navegation technology, GPS receiver become an advanced navigation equipment. With the fast development of GPS navigation technology and survey technology, GPS technology have been widely used in survey and maping more and more, and survey GPS receivers have been important equipment in survey and maping. In recent years, GPS receivers combined innovative technology and advanced system, have been miniaturized to just a few integrated circuits and so are becoming very economical.
