The function and foundation of the various graphic systems in the power systems are respectively different. These different software environments of the electricity power grid lead to the problem that existence is being difficult to share and exchange data between different applications. Development of power system requires urgently a graphics standard avoid repeating work and get the compatibility in different manufacturers.In the field of power system, for realizing the seamless communicate by letter between the intelligence electronic devices in transformer substation system, 57th technical committee has worked out the communication networks and systems in substation-part (IEC 61850). The substation configuration language (SCL) of the IEC 61850 and the scalable vector graphics (SVG) combine each other that have provided one kind resolving approach for the automation of the substation.
