Long-distance transport pipeline is the main way of crude oil transportation.The safety and reliability of long-distance pipeline transport has gained more and more attention in project, environment and society. The advantage and reliability of control system provide guarantee for crude oil transportation. By the research of Long-distance control system, the paper syncretizes leak detection system into SCADA system. The paper takes advantage of pressure signals to detect leak point and position, and optimizes the resource configuration of SCADA system resonalblly. Through experiments, the result is ideal. The paper does research on reliability of system, establishes mathematical model of system, applies genetic algorithm into optimal design of SCADA system, and gains the best configurement scheme of SCADA system under a certain restriction. The main contents are as follows:(1) The paper optimizes resource of SCADA system of long-distance transport pipeline resonalbly, and finishes leak detection and positoning using SCADA system. By optimizing PLC programme and data structure reasonably and improving communication system makes data information of SCADA system fully content leak detection system.(2)The paper analyzes reliability of system and optimiazation design of redundancy, appoies reliability analysis and optimization technology into the design of system, .and establishes mathematical model of optimal design based on reliability of the system.(3)The paper analyzes and summarizes the property of redundancy of SCADA system, and applies genetic algorithm into design of reliability of SCADA system. Under the restriction of cost and weight, the design selected based on subsystem and redundancy of subsystem have been optimized by using genetic akgorithm. Compare to the traditional result, we can see that genetic algorithm is effective to solve this problem. A numerical result of an optimal design based on reliability and redundancy uder the restriction of cost and weight in SCADA system is provided in the paper.
