In oilfield exploration and development production process, transmission of production data is more frequent than before in mobile communication environment, quantity of that is more and more large, and processing complexity of that is more and more high. However, the remote location of production units, complicated environments, a wide range of communications equipment, diverse and complex network conditions, the different structure of data type and low reliability of transmission system, all these factors will affect production data of exploration and development transmitted to the oilfield production users in way of simple, safety and high efficiency to use and handle accordingly.Therefore, in order to solve the above problems have brought adverse effects to oilfield production units and research departments in the use of data, data sharing and research on projects. Firstly, This paper studies SyncML(Markup Language Synchronization), J2ME and J2EE technology in-depth and combines the theory and practice results coming from large-scale information technology projects-A1, A2 (Al-Earth Science and Well Drilling System, A2-Upstream Production Information System) of petroleum china. Secondly, a valuable data synchronization system framework and its data synchronization mode based on the SyncML, J2ME and J2EE are proposed. Thirdly, the structure of J2ME-based client components and J2EE-based server components and data synchronization mechanisms of them are studied and discussed in depth. Lastly, mobile equipment data synchronization prototype system is designed and its application is achieved. The results show that simple data synchronization is realized between a mobile device and a server data source in effect and this model is feasible.
