Study On The Technology Of Accessing The Mobile Internet Based On The Handheld POS

During the last years,the application of smart card increased quickly in many industries,and the handheld POS was used in more fields. But now most smart card terminals are limited by the communication lines and places,so they can not be used in many fields. In this background ,after investigated and analyzed the research status and development trend of the smart card terminals and the mobile internet,in order to make the equipments access the wireless internet and communicate conveniently, a design and implementation of a embedded smart card terminal based on a 32-bit ARM microprocessor which can access the internet over GPRS wireless network is presented in this paper.A embedded Linux is ported to this system,so we can solve the problem of implementation of TCP/IP.With the GSM/GPRS module,the system has a protocol of GSM/GPRS and a RF interface.Through the GSM/GPRS wireless network,the POS becomes a mobile terminal which can gets the information of internet.This system provides an economical and feasible solution for the smart card handheld terminal to access the wireless internet.
