A Research On Blog And Related Issues As Viewed From Mass-Communication

"Blog" is one of the keywords in 2006. Blog became more popular in 2006, not only was one of the basic service on the Internet except for E-mail, BBS and ICQ, but also was the fourth communication tool that individuation authentically on the Internet. After several years of development, there are millions of "Blogger" in the world. "Scale effect" brought by large groups of users makes tremendous influences in many ways in society. As Marshall McLuhan said, "We become the things our own observation, we...create the tools, in turn the tools shaping us as well.In the thesis, the author thinks that blog not only made huge influences on traditional mass media but also changed the orders of Internet communication. As new communicating manner, blog will rebuild some theories of Mass-Communication and introduce Mass-Communication into new field. Blog changes the cathedral mode of communication that the majority was dominated by the minority, incarnates consolidation of communicating right, information right and expression right indeed. For journalism practice, blog means a new personal publishing tool, it gives an impact to traditional mass media meanwhile complements traditional mass media along with "the grass root reporter" comes forth continuously. Traditional mass media and blog have a great future for coexistence, competition, complementary and amalgamation.As new communicating manner, blog have been used by more and more people, meanwhile, facing a lot issues as well, for instance, tortious conduct, content questions and so on. It's very difficult how to eliminate negative influences and how to keep right direction in the development of blog. That's a big problem for everyone.
