Research On Application Platform Of Set Top Box Based On Script Language

Set Top Box is widely applied to receive digital television programs and digital information based on analog television used present. The software development speed is one of the factors influenced the progress of Set Top Box. In order to accelerate the progress of Set Top Box and push the evolution of digital television in China, develop an application platform that can shorten software development time and make the software development independent with hardware has become the focus of Set Top Box.Script language was imported to Set Top Box application platform as a popular method to exploit web application.In this paper, the feasibility of develop Set Top Box application platform with script language based on the work principle of Set Top Box was researched, and the main works was as follows.Firstly, the background of Set Top Box application platform was analysed. Meanwhile, the requirement of Set Top Box application platform was found.Secondly, a new method that useing script language to develop the Set Top Box application platform was brought to fill up the shortage of the development method used president. Meanwhile, a concretely design proposal of useing script language to develop the Set Top Box was put forward.Finally, the validity and reliability of useing script language to develop Set Top Box application platform was proved through the experiment.
