The electric power monitor is a quite essential project application of the electric power profession. For further enhancing the stability, secure of the electric power monitor system, and the reliability, integrity of data transmission, in the thorough researching for current electric power monitor technology and in the GPRS communication foundation,An electric power monitor management system of many kinds of functions has been designed and realized based on the GPRS network, fuses the newest computer technology and the data bank technology by many kinds of programming methods.The paper mainly includes the overall plan design of the electric power monitor management system, the research of the GPRS data communication technology, the software and hardware design and the realization of the electric power monitors terminal and software design and tests of the control center management system. (l)In the electric power monitor management system management system overall plan design part, the characteristic of two kinds of GPRS network way has been elaborated. The system structure, the overall functional description and the software and hardware composition of system overall plan has been elaborated.The integrity electric power monitor management system overall plan has been designed, and the directive overall assurance has been further made for the concrete development. (2)In the GPRS data communication technology research part, the characteristic, the function, the service, the network architecture, the agreement model, the route management and the relations with IP of GPRS communication has been analyzed. The characteristic and the characteristic of SIM100 GPRS module has been introduced carrying on the brief design to its connection electric circuit. The software and hardware design of SIM100 GPRS module's data service application has been realized. The SIM100 GPRS module has been studied inportantly through programming realized concretely. (3)In the software and hardware design and realization of the electric power monitors terminal part, from the the analysis of SOC Enbedded controller, the overall plan of hardware electric circuit design, the hardware composition and the schematic diagram of the electric power monitor terminal has been produced. Through studies in the frame form the DL/T-645 communication protocol and work of the PPP principle, the software frame composition of the electric power monitor terminal has been produced and has realized the function of data acquisition, memory and processing. The electric power monitor the terminal has been designed from software and hardware. (4)In the design and realization of the control center management system software part, the detailed demand analysis explanation has been made.the platform of development has been set up. The detailed design of database has been made. The overall design plan of the control center management system software has been further described and elaborated from the system administration, the line management, the data communication and the report form processes in the brief. The crucial code annotation has been produced. Finally, the strict test to the system has been carried on through the experiment and actual tries. According to the result of tests, it indicated that the system in the function and the performance achieved the anticipated effect. The system which needs further to strengthen has been pointed out.In the research of current tradition electric power monitor technology, the paper unified the technology of the mature GPRS communication and the computer application. It designed the electric power monitor terminal and has constructed electric power data transmission based on the GPRS network. An intelligent, real-time and long-distance electric power monitor management system which is syncretized gathering, monitoring, controlling and information issuance, has been realized.
