| Along with the internet spreading, the need for transmitting media data on network grows rapidly. For now lots of broadcast and TV programs want to board their service on the net. However audio and video data is of large size in storage. Under the condition of bandwidth limit, it's hard to accept so long a period to download all the media data for a program. After streaming technology appearing, the problem resolved to some extend.For short, streaming media is a way for media transmitting combine with streaming technology, while streaming is the way for user watching as well as downloading program from the media server at the same time, which doesn't have the necessity to download the complete piece. With streaming way, it is applicable to transmit all kinds of media to the end-user continuously, all they need to do is waiting for several seconds buffering, the left data will keeps on transmitting at background while users' watching foreground.These years, since the streaming application grows, it becomes important for regulating and managing streaming service. As a result, we must face the problem that how to monitor stream service effectively. Take into account that the streaming services demand real-time and big flow capacity requirement, so the design and implementation for the stream monitoring system is different from traditional ones that of network flow.This paper first introduces the streaming technology ,the framework and element of streaming system, then pay much attention on analyzing stream monitoring system design as well as operating principle, after that, paper makes a detail description of each part inside the monitor. Finally, it makes a thorough test on the stream monitoring system, after analyzing the result using Matlab, this paper raise an improvement approach and prove its effectiveness in the end. |
