With the unceasingly development of Internet technologies, Internet had already become an essential part of people' s daily life. At the same time, with the rapid development of mobility technologies, as well as the large amount application of mobile phones, handhold computers and laptops, more and more people would like to connect to Internet through mobile net, and connect to Internet at any moment and anywhere, so the mobile access technology become one hot research point of Internet technologies.MIP, which is supported by IMT2000, the main target is that, when the mobile equipment changes its access point, it doesn' t have to change its IP address but still can keep communications through Internet. This paper based on the mobile IP technology, research on the integration mode that is applicable and reasonable, considered the network evolution trend, designed the core net architecture, selected access network to form the whole network architecture. I also validate the system performances through simulation.The simulation environment is designed based on HNMM (hierachical network mobility management), integrate WLAN and UMTS into one simulation platform based on MIP. The interworking structure adopts ETSI loose couple structure, set up signaling system and working mechnism. To show the practicability, I made two platform, one heterogeneous and one simple. The two platform are designed and carefully tested in the simulation environment.
