The Study Of The Convergence Of Mobile Network And Fixed Network

Nowadays, the tendency of fixed and mobile convergence is one of hot study topics, which has being paid more and more attention along with the technology development and network migration in recent years. This paper presents the fixed mobile convergence solution based upon the provincial mobile network evolution to next generation network, whose realistic meaning counts for a great deal.This paper starts with the view of the construction of NGN Soft-switch network over a provincial mobile network, and does an overall study at the key technologies, the hierarchical system configuration, total capacity and the market demands. And it gives emphasis to an in-depth discussion on IMS and UMA as the ideal target architecture of next generation network, which are raised in 3GPP Release 5. Moreover, the paper provides a FMC solution over a provincial mobile network with UMA technology, in consideration of network status quo, the possibility of NGN migrating to IMS as well a few foreseeable questions during the migration. As the distinctive solution thinks close to the reality of the mobile network of our country, it will be worth a few references to the smooth evolution to next generation network of our country's telecom network.
