Considering the good robust and high expansibility, P2P is expected to be a perfect method to solving the bandwidth bottleneck in C/S pattern. In recent years P2P is widely used in the different regions such as file transmission, video living broadcast and cooperated office. At the same time P2P can not break away from the weakness in interconnection and control. From the end of 20th century, SIP was proposed by IETF to initiate session. Because of good efficiency, simple and expansibility it apply in IMS. It is imperative to solve the problems including how to make use of the session establish and management efficiently, constructing a perfect system frame, converging all kinds of P2P resources to avoid out-of-order development. Considering all these problems, we make researches on P2P technology supported by CNGI and the ministry of education & Tsinghua Multimedia Lab Fund.In this paper we study the SIP system frame, the course of P2P technology and SIP P2P model actuality. The existing problem is proposed such as excessive centralization, overemphasizing the convenience brought by distribution. Although these characteristics can achieve interconnection in a way, it induces the low security, bad agility and unguarantee of QoS.In order to solve all these problem mentioned above, we bring forward the MSPnet (Manageable SIP P2P network) model. There are three subframes to constitute the MSPnet including management level, signaling level and media transmission level. Also we propose the ideal that using SIP server to provide the signal routing service for different P2P overlay network. On one hand we can provide stable and efficient localizer services for different P2P network users. And on the other hand we promote the P2P network controlbility without debasing the interconnection. Additionally, aiming at the application of media discovery, we make research on the transmission level. A novel neighbor node selecting algorithm based on compositive point is proposed to optimize the transmission level topology. According to MSPnet, We validate the feasibility, scalability and manageability of MSPnet, through implementing the prototype.Afterwards, we successfully utilize MSPnet to develop the project collaborating with a firm, and gained the appreciation from the manager.Now the system is under test before commercial assignment.
