As China joined into the WTO, medium of China has been gradually exposed to the outside world, the intense competitive market environment has brought about unprecedented opportunity & challenge to China's medium.This thesis introduced classical strategy theories form scientific management, to comprehensively analyse the operating strategies of Southern Media Corporation.According to the PEST model, there're challenges and opportunities at the same time. According to the FIVE EFFECTS model, the Southern Media Corporation is now facing five competitors: audience and advertisement, content provider, internet and new medium, external TV and telecommunication, newspaper and magazines; The SWOT model analyses the Southern Media Corporation's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The BCG model analyses the market investments of groups.The operating strategies of Southern Media Corporation stick to deeply reform and unified develop, which reflects GuangDong characteristics, but there also exist some inadequacies.To solve the common posers of China's B&T groups, we have to launch B&T structual reforms, whose inevitable tendency is double-track system.
