In this paper, it researched a test system of gas proportional valve based on IPC (Industrial Personal Computer). This test system is used for manufactories and quality supervisory departments to do the test of gas proportional valve performance more quickly and conveniently. This IPC's system uses data acquisition card PCL - 818L, pressure sensors -24PCDFA6D and thermal mass flow sensor - AWM720P1 to test the performances of gas proportional valve and describe the curves of the performances. The performances include steady pressure performance P2~P1 and controlling performance P2~I or Q~I and so on.In the beginning of this paper, it introduced the working principle of gas proportional valve, and analyzed its performance curves. Next, researched the measurement and test methods of gas flow, and then confirmed that this system in the paper would adapt the thermal mass flow meter AWM720P1 to test the flow. Then, gave the whole structure design of this system and explained the software and hardware design of pressure test, flow test, electronic valves control, proportional valve control and so on. It also listed the jam that often occurred in systems and gave the resolve methods of anti-jamming. All of these jobs are necessary. In the part of software design, introduced some technologies of linking database, making report forms in C++ Builder developing environment, so that the functions of this software will be more complete. In the paper, we adapted the filter to deal with the acquired data to make sure the result more real and exact. In the end, some summarization and prospect was given.
