Research And Implementation Of The System Of Receiving And Sending Emails On Mobile Terminal

Nowadays, wireless network and related applications become hot, especially in 3G. People start to change the way that they live, because of those wireless technologies. Phone calls and SMS become the main mothed of communication instead of mails. The email is another way of communication via World- Wide-Web. Many people use it. Emails can transport all kinds of file, such as text, audio, video and so on. If we put all these stuff together, the world will be changed. People can use emails at any time and any place. The module of receiving and sending emails is the mail part of the whole email system.Firstly, I introduce where this idea came from, the structure of the email system and what the mobile terminal is.The thesis introduces some contents of the demand analysis, which is the first step. It can also guide the design and implamentaion, and be the rule of check and accept. The design is the most important part of the thesis, which is the second step. It includes four parts: system related module, receiving email module, sending email module and generating and parsing email module. System realed module works with the OS of mobile terminal. Receiving email module obeys the rules of POP3 and sending email module obeys the ruls of SMTP. When generate or parse an email, a tree is used to represent structure of the mail. Generating and parsing email module provides the functions of exchanging email structure and email text stream.At last, the thesis introduces the system test and all problems were fixed.
