The Research And Realization Of Logistics Information Platform For The Small And Medium Logistics Enterprises Based On ASP

Basing on information technology is the elementary feature of the third party logistics. The logistics information system is the key element for the competition among the third party logistics enterprises. However, most of the small and medium logistics enterprises are not able to develop, manage, and maintain a logistics information system independently due to the high cost. How to improve the informationization of small and medium logistics enterprises is the difficult up against the development of Chinese logistic industry. The purpose of this paper is to research the feasibility of applying the public logistics information platform to small and medium logistics enterprises, and enable them to achieve the informationization with repetitively low cost.In light of the feature of informationization of small and medium logistics enterprises, this paper performed an in-depth research for the requirements for ASP-mode based information platform for the small and medium logistics enterprises, based on the analysis of the theory and technique of the logistics information platform. Then the paper completed the system structure and function design for the ASP-mode based logistics information platform. Finally, the paper not only conducted the requirement analysis, design and programming based on the dealership and distribution procedure which bring along the key role in Supply Chain logistics procedures for warehouse and transportation systems. But also achieves the purpose of information integrity, and sharing of logistics resources and software.The small and medium logistics information platform (SM-LIP) , applying modern mature logistic idea and information technology, as well as adopting ASP service mode and a multi-layer design which sufficiently integrated logistic, information, capital and commerce, provides an open logistic information service platform for small and medium logistics enterprises so as to lower the informationization threshold of them. Meanwhile, for the platform have a universal Web Services interface based on XML, it can build up a virtual enterprises alliance and fulfill the complex supply chain service by connecting the small and medium logistics enterprises in different areas. Accordingly, SM-LIP is also important for improving the service quality, expanding the service scope, enhancing the competition ability of small and medium logistics enterprises, and the developing of the third party logistics industry in China.
