Virtual reality has become one of the hot research areas of the computer science. The development of computer network technology and graphics & image technology also help to make the application of virtual reality more widespread. On the other hand, Computer Aided Design System in textile fabric has also been widely used in pattern design and virtual show. Some kinds of systems with well-designed pattern creation and virtual realistic show emerge as well. However, researches on highly realistic pattern virtual show in the field of textile fabric remain unsolved. According to this situation, through the research on scene design which is based on image and the research on realistic graphics, we propose a fabric textile virtual realistic show method, which combines the technology on Image Base Rendering and the technology on pattern effect simulation.Because of a great amount of textile fabric images in Textile Fabric Public Service Platform, they are sorted according to textile fabric kinds and their use. Meanwhile, the image compression technology was applied to compress these big and high resolution images without affecting the effect of textile fabric images virtual show. The compressed images can be transferred easily, making it possible to preview the virtual realistic show quickly in the terminal through the Web. For the pattern warp demands in textile fabric scene, an algorithm which divides the textile fabric scene surface into warp control meshes on the base of the textile fabric scene surface features is presented. Considering the detail changes in the textile fabric scene surface, a mesh adjusting method is also given. To adapt the textile fabric scene surface features, a texture mapping algorithm is putted forward on the base of the controlled mesh. This algorithm uses mesh edges as texture warp control vectors, and the composite vector based on the control vectors could determine the mapping point. This process could meet the demand of reasonable texture warp on the textile fabric scene surface. At the same time, for the realistic texture effect when putting the pattern in textile fabric scenes, the HSV color model which coincides with the human vision is used. With this color model, realistic texture effect is obtained by the brightness synthesis of corresponding mapping points between the scene image and texture image. After realized the textile fabric scene design and textile fabric pattern texture mapping algorithms, to enhance the convenience and flexibility for the textile fabric interactive-design of the terminal user, the Web Service concept is adopted to implement a textile fabric patterns effect Web virtual show.
