High-Speed Radar Data Acquisition And Playback System Based On PCI Bus

High-speed radar data acquisition and playback system is the requisite andimportant device in the manufacture and experimentation of modern radar equipment.The major function of the system includes: the high-speed acquisition, massrecording, and real-time playback processing&display of radar echo information.The approach of the system discussed in this paper includes: the acquisition of radarvideo echo information utilizing high-speed data acquisition card based on PCI,running and mass storage through RAID0 disk-list formed by two SATA disk,real-time playback processing&display of radar echo information by pure software.According as the development and research of high-speed data acquisition andplayback at present, the PCI bus transmission technology, RAID controllertechnology, SATA high-speed recording technology and real-time playbackprocessing&display through pure software are researched deeply in this paper. Ahigh performance-to-price ratio high-speed radar data acquisition and playbacksystem is designed by a special high-speed data acquisition card based on PCI, ageneral commercial PC and RAID0 RAID0 disk-list formed by two SATA disk. Dataacquisition and transmission controller, high-speed and long duration recording,real-time data playback processing&display software are finished, sustained dataacquisition at the rate of 80MB/s, massing high-speed recording for hours and hours,real-time playback processing&display through pure softwar are realized in thispaper.
