The Discourse Analysis Of National College Entrance Examination Reports In Newspaper

Since the first report on National College Entrance Examination appeared in newspaper, NCEE report has attracted wide public attention all the way, which in turn has stimulated the media to keep improving the news report on the Examination. However, what kind of changes NCEE report has been through since its appearance? What kind of relations exists between these changes and social changes? And how to better NCEE report? All of these are what this paper tends to cover.At first, the paper would take some representative NCEE reports since 1977 as its discourse cases from such newspapers as Guangming Daily, China Youth Daily and Xi'an Evening News, on which a comprehensive discourse analysis would be given, trying to explain the macro-structure and micro-structure of NCEE report text. Then, based on the above analysis, the paper would come to elaborate the dialectic relations between the changes of NCEE report and the society, hoping that it would help and direct the future report-writing on it. To be exact, the discourse analysis would be conducted in two aspects both text and context with a Dutch scholar Teun A .Van Dijk's theory on discourse analysis. The text analysis would concentrate on the macro-structure of NCEE report, including common model, theme structure, news schema, characteristics and etc; while the context analysis would concentrate on the micro-structure that is to find the interactive relations between NCEE report and social values and also social changes.Thouth the discourse analysis of NCEE reports in newspaper, we can better know the stucture, writing charactaristics, reporting changeings of different ages and the background of inner social history.
