This article from the GIS principle, the concept, application aspect and so on, through the research on basic function, development ways and methods for MAPGIS software, combined the actual situation of the Chengdu economic zone ecology geochemistryinvestigation and the appraisal information system, elaborated the system design and the realization System in detail. This system has the general GIS function and has realized the project data visible and the spatial analysis.
