This thesis is based on the project of "The economic zone ecology geochemistry investigation in Chengdu Sichuan province". The thesis has analyzed development situation of the present ecology geochemistry as well as GIS in the ecology geochemistry application actuality. Based on the analysis of the GIS technology and whose secondary developments ways, has discussed the secondary way for ecologygeochemistry investigation and appraisal information system based on the GIS technology. Take the Chengdu economic zone as the studay area, according to the needs of the program to research and design the ecology geochemistry investigation and the appraisal information system for Chengdu economic zone, which has explored the application for GIS technology in theecology geochemistry.Combined the demand of the project, synthesized the GIS characteristic, the Chengdu economic zone ecology geochemistry investigation and theappraisal information system choosed MAPGIS tool software for the secondary development platform, and take Visual Basic as the system development language. This article from the GIS principle, the concept, application aspect and so on, through the research on basic function, development ways and methods for MAPGIS software, combined the actual situation of the Chengdu economic zone ecology geochemistryinvestigation and the appraisal information system, elaborated the system design and the realization System in detail. The main function of this system includs the storage and manage for each kind of geochemistryinvestigation data material and correlation appraisal informationunification; the base map's management and superimposition; the query for each kind of material and demonstration; the correlation data appraisal analysis as well as system data output and so on. This system has the general GIS function and has realized the project data visible and the spatial analysis. Through the contact surface and other function modules developments, obtain to suit the project need, is advantageous for study the analysis and the information exchangeinformation system.The Chengdu economic zone ecology geochemistry investigation and the appraisal information system effectively managed the project correlation data by using the GIS technology, the contact surfacesuccinct has been friendly, is advantageous for the demonstration and the exchange project research. After the project input system, through visible function, spatial analysis, special charting, printing reportform and so on, facilitated the project workers to understand the duty and the work area, also advantageous for the researcher to excavatethe city ecology geochemist try characteristic and has provided the beneficial information for the geochemistry research. Compared the traditional disperser research, the data computation of this system is reliable, and is advantageous for mutually confirms, which has saved the manpower, the physical resource. It is important for the combination of the GIS technology and the geochemistry domain.
