With the production technology of petroleum and chemical fields being more and more complicated, the parameters of control and safety requirement in production become higher and higher. However, the level of safety automatic control in oil and chemical fields is behind the device of competence. In recent years, several accidents of gas explosion or leakage in Shandong and Jilin province let people realize the importance of the safety of warehousing and transportation in dangerous fields. Because the reserve environment of petroleum and chemical fields is highly flammable and explosive so traditional electronic monitoring means can't be used any more. Nowadays the optical fibre sensor is one of the hottest subjects in the optical fibre measurement fields. The monitoring system using the novel sensor can be considered as the whole optic at all the measurement scenes. Compared with ordinary machinery and electronic sensor, the optical fibre sensor has a lot of superiorities such as resistance of electromagnetic interfering, performance of insulation, safe and reliable, corrosion-resistant and so on. It is particularly suitable under the flammable and explosive operating modeThis article has carried on overall analysis of the security production process in the petroleum and chemical fields. We use the network technology, communication technology and security analytical method to design the data collection systemwhich is based on the technologies of optical fibre sensor, profibus field bus and computer control system. It uses optical fibre sensor as the unit of data collection and utilizes profibus network to transmit the signal which make the scene totally avoid the electric signal. So the security gets the reliable guarantee.This article also introduces the principle of optical fibre sensor technology and its characteristic. Following describing field bus communication principle and network structure of profibus, it especially introduces several kinds of optical fibre sensors which are popular used at present. It probes into the design based on control software of the configuration platform and especially describes WINCC 6.0 software development platform. According to the characteristic and demand, the system is divided into the data collection layer and data transmission layer from the system structure. In view of network structure, it is made up by the bottom network of profibus and the top network of Ethernet. Finally the article has been explained in detail to the composition of data acquisition system and the design of the software on the basis of the WINCC6.0 configuration platform.
