| The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the disadvantage of the TX signal control in 2.75G EDGE system, which has the optimum polar modulation, and find the solution to grantee the signal quality so that ensure the system work properly. And based on the research result, the author also design a new algorithmic calibration process,named as'Trace On Phase', targeting to resolve the existing intrinsical problems, by fixing the phase error in phase modulation and keeping both AM and PM synchronized in time.In order to improve the productivity and quick reach the failure root cause, the work for optimum is mainly focusing on the break-point setting between the interfaces following up; therefore the calibration process does more contribution for maintenance. Finally an AM-PM coherent table is to be stored and reloaded for DAC implementation, with help of R&S CMU200 and Lab Windows CVI from both HW side and SW side.From the application view, this method has also been evaluated for mass production in product line. All the calibration process is following the 3GPP standard and matching all the requirements in detail. |
