| As modern society and security technologies develop continually, we need higher and higher level of monitoring system. Starting with the first simulating video monitoring system which appeared in the 1980s, then the digital video monitoring system in the late 1990s, a modern one we have got now is going to be all-sided digital, networking, intelligent and integrating.As Internet applications vigorously spring up, image compression coding and streaming media technologies gradually evolve, as well as system's processing capability is obviously increased, digital information technology is enabled to be a leading technique which improves the application of network images, reduces the costs, also provides a strong technical driving force for flexibility enhancement and extension. Benefiting from these technical breakthroughs, network image application based on broadband technology has been becoming widely used.This paper discusses the issues which the clients' management and maintenance personnel may concern about in detail, including system's functions and features , device management, user management, and security. It also elaborates the system architecture, layered structure and logic architecture as well as the network setting up architecture of the network video monitoring business network, which engineering designers and technicians may be careful of. Besides, it summarizes general designing steps of the project "Global-Eye". Through the analysis of two specific cases, it elaborates how to design and set up network , and the principles and rules people should comply with during designing. What's more, it also accounts for the one-off investment and usage costs which the clients' managers pay much attention to.Finally, by analyzing the local development situation of "Global-Eye" and the possible economic and social benefits it can bring, this paper points out the important functions and marketing future of "Global-Eye" in China Telecom's strategic transformation. |
