The combination of embedded system and network technology has become the development trend of the future embedded system. The embedded system based on ARM is being used broad in industry area, because of its low power, low cost and good capacity. The remote robot control system based on network is the new research direction, which is composed of embedded system technology, network technology, control technology and robot technology.The paper mainly expatiate the design process of the remote robot control system. First of all, it introduces the embedded system, ARM microprocessor and Linux network technology. After that, it introduces the implement of ARM9 embedded platform, which is composed of hardware platform design and software platform design. The part of hardware inreoduce the definiton of each function module, and analyze the capability and implement of the main module. The part of software introduce the constitution of embedded system debugging environment, the constitution and transplant of file system, and the development process of the application program. And then, it provides a detailed description of how to design the CAN bus driver on embedded Linux platform. At last, it introduces the design and implement of the remote robot control system, whcih is composed of the server and client. The result has proved that the embedded remote robot control system satisfied the requirement of real time control and remote control.
