With the requirements of enterprise for distributed processing and the rapid development of Internet information network, present network information systems propose higher requirements for efficiency of data interaction, data security and system extensibility. Current heterogeneous database middleware cannot meet the need of network information system application said above.There are two data access choises on a J2EE application. One is the non-OOP JDBC RowSet,the another is the entitybeans of EJB. It is well known that both of them exist obvious limitations.This thesis firstly analyses the problem that science and technology enterprise information system is facing while developing heterogeneous database middleware on J2EE platform. Combining the development trend of current middleware technologies, the article conceives a model of science and technology enterprise information heterogeneous database special middleware based on the framework of lightweight J2EE.The model uses the framework of lightweight J2EE to discard lots of disadvantage due to EJB,this model partitions three child middleware in the function aspect: special middleware for collection data , special middleware for communication data , special middleware for dealing with heterogeneous data;To special middleware for collection data,based on the tradiontal JDBC technology, this thesis introduce the DAO model of Spring to simplify the JDBC technology by Template model;To special middleware for communication data, In the remote service aspect,based on the traditional JAVA RMI developing technology,we put forward the configurable RMI service based on the framework of lightweight J2EE to improve the developing efficiency.To special middleware for dealing with heterogeneous data, using Hibernate to build persistence layer. This design give the solution of Object-Relational impedance mismatch and ensure the service that heterogeneous database special middleware is needed.As a rusult,the middleware has the enough extensible ability to adopt user define optimize means.At last,the thesis discuss the application of this model in the science and technology enterprise basic information system.It provides a model which can be referenced in this domain.
