Web and Multimedia technology are applied widely in instruction, which makes development of network-based distance education rapidly. Being a new education mode, the web-based distance education has become an important part of modern education system, and the main method which constructs the lifelong study system in the knowledge-economy era.The key point of web-based distance education is the construction of education platform,"Whiteboard System"and Drawing Platform. Since there is no unified standard of Data format and technical criterion, which makes it very difficult for developing of the education software and therefore the spread of the modern distance education is restricted to this reason.Scalable Vector Graphics is the language for describing two-dimensional graphics based on XML. The SVG can thoroughly meet the Web developer's appeal to vector graphic which is platform-independent, dynamic and scalable; it brings extremely facilitating for building the education drawing platform.The thesis is devoted to the Dynamic Drawing Platform of education haled on the Web and its interactive technology with emphasis. The basic graphic elements in the platform and the relationship between those elements are analyzed detailedly based on the combination of XML and JavaScript integrated into dynamic technic. A method of formal description of plane geometry graphics is proposed with SVG and the foundational theory of Dynamic Drawing based on Web is stroked up. Based on the foundation, a new-style Dynamic Drawing Platform for the web is implemented. The teaching environment built with opening and cooperation plays a very important role in exerting the advantage of current education resources and implementing the reasonably deployment of resources.At last, the basic structure of primary mathematic function is designed based on SVG. With the structure, a system of dynamic function drawing on network is implemented. The formal expression of function structure, method and strategy of dynamic drawing based on SVG are discussed in detail. A means of automatically determining the best scale for each set of data according to users'data, and dynamically scaling SVG graphs is implemented.
