Communication technology develops increasingly today; low voltage power line carrier communication technology becomes one of the solutions of'last mile', and begins to go to families. For its advantages itself, low voltage power line carrier communication causes great attention at following application regions: information appliance, smart buildings and Internet access.The noise character of low voltage power line carrier communication is the essential part of the investigation for the whole communication system, its investigation and simulation has very important significance. Study the noise character of the channel, can know how to avoid the interference brought by the noise in actual communication process of the system. Study of the noise character can also make the method used either in hardware or coding aspects more feasible and more intentional, and then improve the communication quality; moreover, for signal channel noise simulation, a established simulation system for low voltage power line carrier communication system, can be a indispensable composing part of whole communication simulation system, and can be a single noise source, make study for the whole communication system more detailed become possible.This thesis takes the former study results of channel noise as basis, measures and analyzes the low voltage power line carrier communication noise, confirms the model of five class noise exists in the channel, use Matlab software to carry out a interactive noise simulation system with GUI interface in the end.The simulation feasibility of random impulse noise by using hidden markov model was discussed when analyze the noise, and compared this model with partitioned markov chain; and two method was given to the following problem when generate noise data actually: generate data according to the given probability distribution.
