With the telecom enterprise operations the traditional pattern of monopolyhas been broken, increasing competition. How do you improve the stability,security, diversity and the single multi-service network loading of thetelecommunications system? It not only reduces investment and increases thecompany's network infrastructure capacity, but also impacts directly on thecompetitiveness of the enterprises. This is also related to the survival anddevelopment of enterprises overall. It has become an urgent problem withtelecommunications operators, which needs to be solved. ATM (AsynchronousTransfer Mode) switching technology as the core of Broadband businessnetworks can effectively address this need.The first issue is to research ATM switches network transmission principle,technical features and the means of network protection techniques. Analyze thedata network status and the requirements of the business development fornetwork communication of Heilongjiang Communications Company, HarbinBranch (HCCHB). The systems architecture of HCCHB needs to be researchedand designed under the environment of HCCHB ATM Integrated Services DigitalNetwork second reconstruction project. The thesis put forward the usage of APS(APS) link protection technology to supply the variety of businesses in thenetwork with reliable transmission and help with security issues. Meanwhile, theburden capacity of ATM network is analyzed according to the frame relay andcircuit emulation services and features to VP/VC (Virtual Path/Virtual Channel)exchange technical comparisons. The thesis adopts VP exchange technology toimplement the frame relay and circuit emulation service in ATM networkscapability. The thesis also provides the references for the other access modes bystudying and comparing different access methods. Finally, the financial client application, a real application, is detailed. Multi-Service Switch Passport 7480/15000 from Canadian Nortel Network an industry-leading switch, is used to design the network which meets the demand of the user.The design programs in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province savings banknetwork of the test have been passed and meet the requirement of user network.It has also been noted the interconnection between DDN (Digital Date Network)FR (Frame Relay) and the ATM network.
