| Cars have become more and more popular these days. Then the crimes usingvehicles are increasing greatly. This project will realize the car positioning andtracking, and it will effectively get the position and follow the track of the cars.ThisProject will meet the special needs of public security.Through the research on the development and application of the vehiclepositioning and tracking system in China and abroad, this thesis studies its relevanttheories and basic development methods, then, it discusses the using of GPS/GIS inthis system.At the same time, we complete the design of positioning and trackingsystem, and the system contains two parts: the GPS terminal in the car that receivesthe positioning information and the background monitoring center which manages thedigital map system. Through the research on the cost of the wireless network that thesystem can use, we chooses the GSM mobile network to realize the communicationbetween the positioning and tracking unit and the background monitoring center.Through this, the cost of the system is greatly decreased. Based on the research on theGIS platforms and development tools, we choose Maplnfo and Delphi to implementthis system.This paper discusses the design and implementation of a vehicle positioning andtracking system, which is based on the integration of GPS, GIS, and GSM technology.In this article, we primarily discuss the hardware and software design of thepositioning and tracking unit, the software design of background monitoring center,the GPS/GIS integration technology, the map matching technology and thetechnology that meet the special needs of public security.After the practical test on this system, it has the expectant effection. In the end,this thesis discusses the next step research of the vehicle positioning and trackingsvstem. |
