Analysis And Processing Of The Problems In The YiBin Mobile GSM Network Optimization Project

There are some problems which have influenced the quality of service and the system technical specifications of the GSM network of YiBin Mobile due to continually construction and extension. Especially in the last half year of 2005, the network KPI (key performance indication) specifications, such as drop_call_rate, blocking_rate, etc., drop fastly and worsen continuously, the complaints of customers are at high. In order to solve these problems, YiBin Mobile carried out the GSM network optimization project.Based on the GSM mobile communication principles and aimed at the practical problems emerged in YiBin Mobile network optimization project, this dissertation discusses in detail from its optimization principles and programs to its engineering solutions. The main optimization fundamentals relate to antenna, hardware, frequency interference, droping call, traffic congestion, call setup process and power control. Its specific optimization items deal with hardware handling, coverage adjusting, frequency and neighbour adjusting, traffic expanding, data and parameter optimization, system load analysis, suburb county optimization, and so on. A lot of useful engineering data and its processing means with software are presented. The effect after and before the optimization is evaluatedAll the members from our engineers to technicians paid a lot, gave up countless rest, even worked all through the night, and finally completed this project. As the head of the group, I mainly undertook the project planning, the choice of schemes, putting in practice, specificatin anlaysis and optimization, technical support, evaluating, and the group management. Technically I took charge of hardware handling, frequency planning and neighbor cell adjusting, traffic analysis, parameter adjusting, especially did my best in system parameter adjusting, carrier expanding, alarm handling. This project improved the KPI specifictions greatly. Customer's complaints decreased and user's satisfaction promoted. It achieved the anticipated good economic and social benefits, and made the YiBin Mobile GSM network specifications rank third in Sichuan Mobile Corporation in year of 2006.
