With the frequent development of power electronic devices, the power quality isseriously polluted by concussion and imbalance of power caused by nonlinear loads.At the same time, those electrical devices applied in industry, commerce and civilbuilding are more and more sensitive to the quality of power supply, which requestsmore and more stable power supply. As a result, whether there is harmonic in thepower has become an important criterion to judge the quality, also more and moreattentions are being paid to harmonic analysis.There will be many power electronic devices in Shanghai SynchrotronRadiation Facility (SSRF), which will produce much harmonic and affect the specialpower supply. To avoid a passive condition of 'treatment after pollution', it isnecessary to build up a simulation model of SSRF to analyses the source of harmonic,forecast the content of harmonic and give advices to deal with it.This thesis is organized as follows. Some basic concepts, such as definition ofharmonic, the sorts of harmonic source, the distribution of harmonic in different fieldsand the harm of harmonic are firstly introduced in chapter 2. And this Chapteranalyses the water-heated system of SSRF through mathematic means. In this way,some harmonic information can be achieved in theory. Chapter 3 describes somemeans to measure harmonic and compares two most popular of them. As the mainpart of this thesis, chapter 4 presents the whole process of building the simulationmodel of the water-heated system. This model's veracity is proved by comparing thesimulation data and the measured data. Based on this model, many experiments aremade by changing some parameters, adding more devices, terminating some devices,etc. Many harmonic data are attained during those experiment, they are very usefulfor analyses and forecast of harmonic. The means to eliminate the harmonic in powersupply are discussed in last chapter. Also there are some advices to deal withharmonic in this part. A conclusion and an expectation are made at the end of thisthesis.
