Research And Implementation Of Multimedia Real-Time Synchronous Courseware System

Along with the development of next-generation internet technology and the fact that CERNET2 is gradually applied to E-Learning, the wide-bandwidth, high-speed and high-dependability network will provide more opportunity and more excellent educational service for E-Learning. In the near future, the multimedia courseware which includes lots of large-particle information object such as video, audio and so on, will be put into E-Learning practice extensively, what's more, it will improve the Qos of E-Learning. Therefore, how to organize the network effectively in order to facilitate the sharing of educational resources emerges as new research hotspots.The thesis mainly studied the standard description model of network education resources, furthermore, it analyzed the courseware making, multimedia encoding, multimedia synchronous in detail, and the Real-time Multi-media Synchronous Courseware Making System based on CELS is given in the end.The thesis is organized as follows. At first, it proposed the standard model of the network education resource and its XML binding after analyzing LOM of CELTS-3, CP of CELTS-9, information model and core set respectively. Then it analyzed the shortcomings of traditional education courseware and education courseware making system, and focused on studying the technology of real-time making, multimedia application and multimedia synchronization. Furthermore, the thesis probed into courseware making methods, multimedia application, synchronization solutions of the system and put forward an effective way of integrating various education material based on time line mechanism to resolve the corresponding relationship between multiple editing windows and education material driven by video and audio. At last, it analyzed and designed the structure and function of all modules in Standard Real-time Multi-media Courseware Making System, and the realization of the system is given.
