| Nowadays, wireless sensor networks attracts more and more attentions in the front edge technology, which is appraised as one of the three future high-tech industries. IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee technology, proposed by IEEE organization and Zigbee alliance, with the characters of low-complication, low-power, low-data-rate, and low-cost, is suitable to take on the task of building the wireless sensor networks. Thus ZigBee has an extremely important worth for reaserch. This paper deeply analyzes wireless sensor networks and IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee standard, especially in the building of ZigBee networks. It expounds some key points in the manner of building ZigBee networks, like the establishment and maintenance of networks, the flow of device joining the networks. Moreover, it designs and realizes a mini start network and cluster-tree network with the ZigBee development suite TSZ-CC2430 based on the IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee protocol. On this condition, this paper proposes an improvement for the expansibility of this network platform with the reusable routing protocol structure, and it partly realizes the interface of this structure. This paper adopts the SHT1x temperature and humidity digital sensors to acquire data, and designs the low-power manner for endpoint in the ZigBee start network built before. And considering the measurement parameters for sensor data acquisition and wireless transceiver operation practically, this paper puts forward a lifetime prediction formula for endpoint, which is validated in practice. Finally, this paper implements a database management system for the sensor data acquired at the service end. This paper designs and implements a system of data acquisition for wireless sensor networks, with the building of ZigBee wireless sensor networks, the transmission of temperature and humidity sensor data, and the database management of these data. It predicts the endpoint lifetime, and verifies the results with the measurement in practice as well. This paper proposes a reusable routing protocol framework on this platform, pointing out the direction for the future network expansion. |
