As the entire 3D Garment CAD system design and operations basis, 3D human model is the decision of the system design quality and operating efficiency. With the rapid development of GCAD system, the accuracy and realism of 3D body model are demanding increasingly high. Basing on the demands of GCAD, this thesis makes a further study of feature recognition, deformation and connection technique of customizing individual 3D scanned human body.The initial study of 3D modeling is based on human body scanned data. Recognition of accurate feature points should be carried out before 3D model reconstruction to reflect the original surface characteristics of the human body. The second chapter describes the primitive characteristics of the human scanned body. Controllable searching step and divide-conquer method are used in allocating cutting planes to search feature points and reconstruct body mesh. Dimensions are calculated based on feature lines which created with feature points.To fit costume design, the human body sizes and posture should be adjustable. Sometimes local fine adjustment is required. The third chapter details the three deformation methods of personalized 3D scanned body. Size match oriented human model deformation can be divided into two methods: feature size driven and template interpolation. Posture match oriented human model deformation is implemented by restructuring of joint location.The establishment of joint posture library is discussed to improve the posture deformation. Local match oriented human model deformation is implemented by adjusting feature points on feature plane, changing the shape of plane and driving the fine adjustment of local surface.In order to make the virtual human more realistic, head and limbs should add to the body. The fourth chapter presents the head and limbs of scanned human model, introduces the connection requirement and basic connection algorithm of human body. The human body connection is explained in detail. Smooth handling and achieving individually human modeling.Based on the above research, LookStailorX system frame is introduced in the fifth chapter. Brief introduction on modeling process and detailed description on application of the above research in LookStailorX system are provided as well.Finally, the sixth chapter includes a summary of the research and the prospects, separately from the perspectives of technology and application, of this project.
